I love to shoot weddings in my home City of Leeds. I travel all over Yorkshire, and further afield for weddings now but it's hard to think of a better wedding venue so close to the centre of the city.
Temple Newsam is a Tudor-Jacobean mansion that is licensed to hold weddings and civil partnership ceremonies.
The house is set within 1500 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland that are an amazing choice for your day and you are spoilt for your wedding photography here too.
The house has spectacular grandeur and has sections that are closed off to keep your wedding day intimate.
Its almost as if you have your own personal stately home set within the heart of Yorkshire.
There is a South Terrace that is just perfect for drinks receptions, allowing you and your wedding guests to take in the spectacular countryside and surroundings.
It’s hard to believe you just a short ride from Leeds City Centre making it a convenient wedding setting too.
The Wedding ceremony room is devine!
The Gardens are a perfect backdrop for your wedding photography along with some fantastic courtyards and doorways too.
One of my favourite spots however is the stairway just behind the great hall. Perfect for Bride and Groom Portraits and even the main Wedding Group Photo.
You will be spoilt for choice for options in your wedding album.
You're guaranteed that the weather won’t spoil your wedding pictures too with so many photo opportunities within the building.
Leeds City Council so for that reason it brings this wedding venue into a good affordable price bracket too owns the Venue.
Add to that it's lavish, steeped in history and just a beautiful place to shoot a wedding and entertain your wedding guests.
I currently hold a PfCO to use my drone commercially on weddings too so as you can see I'm able to get some amazing shots from the air of this stunning wedding venue.
So if you are looking to get married close to Leeds city centre but want your wedding to have the country feel too then I think you are hard pressed to find a better wedding venue for your photography needs.
