My name is Ben Cumming, and I am Carlton Towers Wedding photographer. I started my career in film but eventually transitioned to photography. In 2021, I was named one of the Top 10 Photographers of the Year by the Guild of Photographers. I have been perfecting my style and technique for the last ten years. I’ve learned that each couple is different when it comes to their ideas of what goes into Carlton Towers’ wedding photography.
Every bride and groom has their own story. It’s important that it is told in their way. Their wedding day is the first day of the rest of their lives. It is the beginning of a new chapter, filled with adventure and many new opportunities. It is an honour to be able to share those first precious moments. I can capture each moment so the photos can be shared with future generations. My ability to find the couple’s style allows me to produce the type of wedding photographs they will enjoy for many years.

Carlton Towers Weddings
Carlton Towers is a luxury wedding venue with a twist. It isn’t a traditional venue or facility that hosts events. It’s a stately country house that is also the home of Lord and Lady Gerald Fitzalan Howard. The house is one of the best locations for an intimate wedding ceremony or a large, extravagant wedding celebration. It is an incredible building with large windows that let in all of the natural light you can ask for when taking beautiful wedding photos.
When you plan your special day, Carlton Towers offers everything you could ever ask for, including a delicious wedding breakfast, cottages for your guests to stay in and a lush vineyard as a backdrop. This Yorkshire gem is unique because of the personal touches added by the owners. Every room in the home has an elegance all its own. The bride and her bridesmaids can get ready in style, while the groom and groomsmen can get dressed in one of the cottages. As a South Yorkshire wedding photographer, I look forward to capturing every moment!
History of Carlton Towers
The original country house was built in the 17th century by the Stapletons. Henry Stapleton, the 9th Baron Beaumont, rebuilt the home to its current stature in the mid-1800s. The current owner, Lord Gerald Fitzalan Howard, is a descendant of the original owners. Although Lord and Lady Fitzalan Howard maintain their private quarters, the main sections of the country home are available for weddings and other gatherings.
Carlton Towers sits on 250 acres. The stunning architecture makes for gorgeous wedding photographs. The wedding party will have access to everything they need to make the day a success. The staff at Carlton Towers will ensure all the wedding day preparations go smoothly so you can relax.
Weddings and Events at Carlton Towers
Carlton Towers is known throughout the UK for its delicious food, stunning landscapes, and luxury accommodation. Two cool-climate wines are produced from the grapes grown in the Walled Garden Vineyard. In addition to the Six Course meals created by the Carlton Towers chefs, guests can also enjoy the family’s signature wines. Guests can also participate in the different food and wine tasting projects held at Carlton Towers.
Couples who choose the country home for their wedding celebration can expect stunning wedding photography. The interior of the country house is exquisitely decorated with artwork and antique furniture. After the second restoration was completed in the 1990s, the property received numerous upgrades but kept the beautiful touches that made it an elegant Yorkshire home. Blending the new with the old offers guests the best luxury accommodations possible.
