Wedding Photography in Sheffield
As a wedding photographer based in Yorkshire, I originally started shooting weddings in Leeds. However, I now travel further afield across the UK and have worked at many venues across Huddersfield, Barnsley and Wakefield as well as Sheffield South Yorkshire.
Firstly, congratulations on your engagement!
From experience, I know that planning your wedding day can be overwhelming. I encourage you to look through my photos to see if I can tick off choosing wedding photographers from your list! Your wedding day is one of the most special and intimate days of your lives. As a wedding photographer, my aim is to document your day, allowing you to be taken back there every time you look at your wedding photos. At any wedding, I will capture all the little details that made your day so special, making those memories live on forever.
What to expect from me as your photographer
We will kick off proceedings with a meeting. This allows us to discuss your expectations and preferences. If you don’t have any preferences, then that’s fine too. We can explore styles of photography to find your taste. My job (if you choose me as your wedding photographer) is to tell the story of your wedding day, all through the art of photography.
I’ll capture all the lovely moments from your day
From the pride of the father of the bride walking you down the aisle to the smiling tears at the ceremony. Friends jostling to get their picture of you cutting the cake to the laughter at the wedding speeches. I will be there to capture it all. On top of these beautiful moments, I’ll make sure to snap your beautiful venue too so you can always remember exactly how it looked.
Camera shy? We can have a try out with a pre-wedding shoot.
Everyone is different. Some people love the experience of being in front of a camera, whilst others need some persuading (only a little). I want your experience to be the best it can be. I want you both to be as comfortable as you can be ao you can choose a style which works best for you. This is why I encourage a pre-wedding shoot to capture some portraits of you as a couple. This is one of the things that enable you to see my style and approach as a photographer.

Sheffield Manor Lodge
Sheffield Manor Lodge offers two unique venues within one site. Within Manor Lodge, the sixteenth-century Turret House provides a unique setting for an outdoor ceremony surrounded by their sweeping manicured grounds for up to 100 guests. Photo opportunities are aplenty – from the apothecary garden to the wildflower meadow aisle to the lavender labyrinth and the romantic Tudor ruins within the grounds. Alternatively, inside Turret House, for a more intimate affair, up to 25 of your closest family and friends can witness your views. There is also the option of Manor Oaks House and Barn, a traditional Georgian farmhouse with an enclosed garden, featuring original stonework and exposed wooden beams to create a sense of rustic charm. Once you’ve said your “I do’s”, as the sun sets, you can cosy up with loved ones around a campfire for the most idyllic setting before dancing the night away together.
Sheffield Town Hall
Sheffield Town Hall is a stunning and unique Grade I listed build situated in the heart of the city of Sheffield. Steeped in history and grandeur, and with a selection of reception rooms on offer, it stands to reason that one of the most important days of your life be held here as it deserves a truly spectacular setting. With oak-panelled walls, a grand balcony ahead, and hanging chandeliers, there really is no other venue like this in the city centre. The elegant Mirror Room and the fabulous Mandela Room accommodate up to 120 guests each. Alternatively, the full Reception Suite is available for up to 220 guests depending on the size of your event. It is possible to add a room divider to later reveal the other room for a sit-down meal should you wish; many list this perk as a hot topic of discussion at their wedding! Regardless of where within the venue you choose, you are guaranteed to have the full support of staff and an event to remember for a lifetime.
Hodsock Priory
Steeped in hundreds of years of history, this fairy tale setting boasts a unique heritage – in fact, Hodsock Priory once entertained Henry VIII! Entering the Pannelled Hall, you can enjoy the paintings on display and admire the historic decoration in the room. There is also a grand staircase leading upstairs and an original 1864 Bechstein piano that guests are encouraged to play – there’s nothing more romantic than live piano and a glass of fizz after all! The Pavilion is the focal point of the house and a perfect backdrop for wedding photographs – with sizeable windows all around, and doors opening onto the manicured gardens, this room is filled with natural light and an aura of relaxed elegance. It has a unique history and distinctive architecture really add to the grandness of any occasion. Accentuating this is the original grand entrance upon arrival, featuring a magnificent staircase leading up to a picture gallery on the first floor. Interestingly, for history lovers out there, this site once belonged to Mary Shore, the grandmother of Florence Nightingale and the young Florence often visited the house. All the rooms at Tapton Hall are filled with charm and character, adding to the joy and warmth of your special day. Further, the wedding coordinator will help ensure your wedding is individually planned to suit you; from which banqueting suite to host your breakfast and reception to which delicious menu to choose from; it’s bound to be an unforgettable day.
